Does anyone even know who Edison Lighthouse is anymore?
The best/worst thing about this is the fact that I loved it when this song was played on the radio when I was a kid. It was awesome. I had a song and my sister didn't. Somehow that made me the winner...at least for a few minutes.
Sheesh...Edison Lighthouse.

I believe that it was Cocktail. I was babysitting, and the family had cable. Once the kids were in bed, I found this movie was on and watched it.
I seem to recall that, when my older sister found out that I had managed to see this movie a year or two before our parents allowed her to she was justifiably annoyed.
On another amusing note, on our first Valentine's Day date, we SO and I went to see Hannibal (a GREAT Valentine's Day movie, no?) Because of how graphically violent it is, he got carded (he was 22). I was not asked to show my id, but he was told that he was responsible for me. Sheesh! I was 21! I was (and am) well able to be responsible for myself!

Innocuous looking, sure, but this book of opposites made me guffaw...and it takes a lot to get me to guffaw.
There are so many wonderful opposites in this book, but my favorite is (and always will be) the male and female elephants. Their maleness and femaleness are illustrated by the way their girl parts or boy parts make them urinate - a satisfied look on both their faces as their pee showers out in a yellow stream.
Why didn't I have this book in my collection when I was a child?
